Spaces
I decided to take a day trip to the Redmill in Paramus. I had driven past it a million times and never really knew what it was or its history. It was a nice day so I ventured over to Paramus with my mom and we walked over towards it. As I was walking I decided to stop and take some pictures of it far away. Its surroundings were beautiful as well with the Saddle River right behind it, of course back when it was in use this river use to touch the mill and not just stand next to it. I walked all around taking snap shots of its "space." I decided to use these pictures for my project as well as some other random ones at home. We had to digitally alter 2 of them so I went for the cartoon approach. ENJOY!

Get Closer
Get Closer
The Metropolitan Museum of Art was having a contest that they titled "Get Closer." The objective was to take pictures of a part of an artwork in their museum to make it sort of abstract looking. I did some paintings and some sculptures. Here are the results with a Lumix, Panasonic DMC-TZ5 camera. I was having some trouble getting the camera to focus but you be the judge.

Portraits
Portraits
There really isn't much to say about this project other then I chose the angles of these photographs to make you wonder what they are thinking about or looking at. I like how the colors came out in specific pictures. I would like to add that the ones of myself did not come out as artistic as I would have liked. We are trained to look into the lens of the camera and smile and so that is exactly what I did. I tried to incorporate objects that have a meaning to my life, however it is one thing to be the photographer and another to be the one being photographed. When I am the one holding the camera I know exactly where I want the angle, how far or how close I want the lens to be zoomed in, what kind of depth of field there should be to enhance the picture. Being the photographed is not something like to do or have done to me even if it is a professional photographer who knows exactly what they are doing to make me look my best. Here they are I hope you enjoy.

Once Upon a Time
Once Upon a Time
Once upon a time there was a college student named Alyssa. She went to her digital photography class every week and one day was assigned a project. The directions stated that she was to take 2 narrative paintings and recreate them in photograph form. She was also to take three of her own idea of a narrative photograph.
See if you can tell which is the painting and which is the photograph recreation:

The Puzzle Assignment
We were suppose to take a picture and cut it into puzzle shaped pieces and send it to a classmate to solve. The following pictures are the one that I cut up into puzzle pieces and my classmates that I solved.
Point of View
Point of View
Take an object or person and take pictures of it so that you get different "Points of view," for example: above, below, with an other object, a close up on a specific feature. I chose my teddy bear that sits everyday on my bed. I thought that maybe I would see it differently through the lens of a camera. Here are my photographs:

DOF
Depth of Field
The idea of this assignment was to work with aperture settings. Show how different settings can create the effect of more or less of your objects in focus. These were my pictures:
